[Harvard Business School ](http://www.hbs.edu/Pages/default.aspx)(HBS) has a strong global presence and impact, with many projects related to health. Its [Global Initiative](http://www.hbs.edu/global/Pages/default.aspx), established in 1996, supports faculty, students, and alumni by encouraging a global perspective on research, study, and practice. HBS faculty research has produced a case library of nearly 10,000 case studies; each year approximately one-third of the new cases developed are international in scope, and more than 20 percent of the faculty conduct health-care related research. HBS faculty frequently participate in university-wide leadership activities that relate to health, such as the [Harvard University Advanced Leadership Initiative’s ](http://advancedleadership.harvard.edu/)annual health care “think tank.” HBS is active in global health research through the [Global Health Delivery Project](http://www.globalhealthdelivery.org/) (GHD) and the HBS [Health Care Initiative](http://www.hbs.edu/healthcare/initiative/Pages/default.aspx).
