The [Faculty of Arts and Sciences ](http://www.fas.harvard.edu/)(FAS) is the largest division of the University, and it comprises Harvard College and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences; the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; and the Division of Continuing Education, including the Extension and Summer Schools. FAS is home to nearly 50 different centers, institutes, and societies, many relevant to the cross-disciplinary nature of global health challenges, for example biologically inspired engineering, environmental studies, innovative computing, regional studies focused on different areas of the world, and centers related to history and the arts.
