# Exploring Health Through Photography

August 30, 2022

Picture a bright green grasshopper perched on the head of flower. Picture a vibrant orange color painted on the side of a planter. Picture the crisscross of electrical wires against a city backdrop or the round face of a public street clock. These scenes were all found in the local neighborhood around the Global Health Education and Learning Incubator (GHELI) during a staff photo outing.

In August, GHELI staff took advantage of the beautiful weather to step outside for a group assignment: Take pictures from their individual perspectives of global health. GHELI is always looking to expand its library of images to use in the development of freely available educational material and multimedia projects. The outing was arranged in order to gather images and let staff exercise their creativity. Exploring global health through an artistic lens is one way the Incubator fosters creative thinking about the ways we teach and learn about global health.
