The [Incubator’s studios](/studios) are low-stakes environments where staff and faculty experiment with a variety of instructional approaches to promote conceptual understanding, strategic thinking, and effective communication. Recently, [Stéphane Verguet](https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/stephane-verguet/)—Assistant Professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health—visited the GHELI studio space to develop educational materials as a part of his residency at the Center for Health Decision Science (CHDS).

Focused on the development of educational materials related to extended cost-effectiveness analysis (ECEA), Verguet created a [teaching pack](https://repository.chds.hsph.harvard.edu/repository/collection/teaching-pack-extended-cost-effectiveness-analysis/) and [resource pack](https://repository.chds.hsph.harvard.edu/repository/collection/resource-pack-extended-cost-effectiveness-analysis/) about the topic, publicly accessible within the [CHDS repository](https://repository.chds.hsph.harvard.edu/repository/). Unlike conventional cost-effectiveness analysis, ECEA includes non-health benefits such as financial risk protection and equity considerations such as distributional consequences. The teaching pack features videos introducing extended cost-effectiveness analysis (ECEA), details how it is conducted, and assembles ECEA publications and teaching materials.
