Ashton Body is a recent Harvard College graduate who studied Social Anthropology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Interested in the intersection between the molecular and social levels of health and disease as an aspiring physician, Ashton studies how social forces--like pharmaceutical drug development, health education, and patent policy--impact the lived experience of patients. Prior to graduating, Ashton student interned at GHELI on several educational initiatives, including skill-building student workshops. Combining her love for science and art and her interest in youth mental health and education, Ashton currently collaborates with GHELI to write and illustrate a children's book series around mental health awareness and coping tools that will be accompanied by curriculum and pedagogical resource packs for educators.
