Austin Tucker.
Austin is a 4th year PhD student in the Population Health Sciences program in the Global Health and Population Department. Previously, Austin worked in economic evaluations for Tuberculosis and HIV program interventions primarily in South Africa and Uganda. His research primarily focuses on the reaction of the healthcare workforce to US pandemic response policies, health and labor economics, and how turnover in the health workforce affects quality of care. After the PhD, Austin would like to work in the financing and implementation of global health programs via multilateral institutions or philanthropic organizations.
