In an online lesson developed this fall for the Foundations for Public Health orientation course at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Professor Sue J. Goldie looks at emerging zoonotic diseases and pandemic risk using the examples of influenza and COVID-19. To warm up her students, she created a Viruses 101 video lesson leveraging drawings like this one to give students a sense of the main attributes and mechanisms of viruses. Watch the corresponding video.
