Art to Build Connections Across Communities

November 12, 2019

Whether it is painting a public mural in Cambridge’s Central Square or using crafts to teach handwashing in Tanzania, GHELI’s staff and students have used the arts in multiple ways to facilitate community and belonging.

Nina Bhattacharya, the Incubator’s Instructional Design Specialist, is among the 10 local artists featured in Art in Print: Volume 4, a program of Zone 3 designed to make art more accessible to the public. Through the program, limited release posters are available for 25¢ in newspaper bins around Western Ave in Allston.  Nina’s poster, “Incandescent Bloom,” will be available at the Harvard Ed Portal

Zone 3 is part of Harvard’s efforts to connect the creativity and energy of the Allston-Brighton neighborhood with its ongoing educational work at the Harvard Ed Portal, on campus, and within the broader community.
