Dr. Paula A. Johnson to Lead Wellesley College

Congratulations to Paula A. Johnson, MD, MPH, recently named the next president of Wellesley College. Dr. Johnson is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and founder and Executive Director of the Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). A world-renowned cardiologist, she has devoted her life to improving women’s health. As part of her long vision for building leaders in women’s health, she piloted and has directed since 2013 an annual women’s health leadership workshop, in collaboration with faculty and staff at BWH, the Incubator, and the Harvard University François Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) Center for Health and Human Rights. The workshop was a forum that brought together graduate students and junior faculty in dialogue with world leaders in the field.
