Improving LGBTQ Health and Care

Roughly one in six lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) Americans report they have avoided medical care for fear they would be discriminated against due to their identity. This startling data—from a recent poll conducted by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in conjunction with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and National Public Radio—highlights the glaring consequences of discrimination on health and health care access.
