Resource to Educate Students on Harvard's Sexual Assault Resources

In fall 2015, Harvard University’s Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Assault made public the university’s data from a national survey on college and university students about sexual assault. The findings chronicled a disturbing trend of sexual misconduct on campus, among both undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate women, regardless of sexual orientation, were most vulnerable to sexual assault and harassment. Moreover, less than one quarter of Harvard students said they were very knowledgeable about what constitutes sexual assault or misconduct at Harvard, where to seek help, or how to report an incident, and a large majority was unclear about the reporting process.

In response to these troubling revelations, the Incubator developed a special bookmark, distributed to more than 400 undergraduate students across Harvard, that features some key university resources for students seeking help, including the 24-hour confidential hotline of the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, the Harvard University Police Department, and the university’s health services office.
