Marie Montás

Marie is a fourth year (G4) PhD Candidate in the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research lies in the intersection of development economics, health economics, and global health, using causal inference econometric methods to evaluate the impact of health policies and programs on maternal and infant health, sexual and reproductive health, and pharmaceutical markets in the Latin America and Sub-Saharan African regions. She is particularly interested in health systems and how patients respond to dimensions of care quality, including provider behavior and service delivery. Marie holds an MPH in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan and a BA in economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
