Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics (TH Chan)

The Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics (CCDD) at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health focuses on improving methods for mathematical modeling and statistical inference on infectious disease data, engagement with policy makers to use the results of data to improve decision making, and outreach to provide education about disease dynamics to scientists in the field. CCDD initiatives include outreach to quantitatively gifted students who are members of underrepresented groups in public health and the further development of teaching materials related to transmission dynamics for professional and doctoral students. CCDD hosts a publications portal, a repository of resources on their work with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), and links to the COVID-19 Mobility Data Network, which collects and studies mobility data to aid in COVID-19 response.
