Center for Health Decision Science

The Center for Health Decision Science (CHDS) uses the theories and practice of decision science to promote informed and systematic decision making involving health-related technologies and public health practices. CHDS brings together outstanding faculty, staff and researchers from across the T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Harvard University to support its research, teaching and training programs. Faculty are committed to ensuring the real-world impact of their research by actively engaging with policy communities and decision makers in a range of topical areas, including women's health, disparities, health care services and systems,  and the prevention and treatment of communicable and chronic diseases.  Additionally, investigators conduct research to push the field of decision science forward, by developing novel methods and identifying new applications of existing techniques. The decision science training is among the best in the world, with many graduates now serving as leaders of training excellence within the larger Harvard community and beyond.
