The Incubator’s studios are low-stakes environments where staff and faculty experiment with a variety of instructional approaches to promote conceptual understanding, strategic thinking, and effective communication. Recently, Stéphane Verguet—Assistant Professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health—visited the GHELI studio space to develop educational materials as a part of his residency at the Center for Health Decision Science (CHDS).

Focused on the development of educational materials related to extended cost-effectiveness analysis (ECEA), Verguet created a teaching pack and resource pack about the topic, publicly accessible within the CHDS repository. Unlike conventional cost-effectiveness analysis, ECEA includes non-health benefits such as financial risk protection and equity considerations such as distributional consequences. The teaching pack features videos introducing extended cost-effectiveness analysis (ECEA), details how it is conducted, and assembles ECEA publications and teaching materials.
