Harvard China Fund

The Harvard China Fund exists to advance the entire University’s engagement with China. As greater China plays an increasing role in global higher education, the China Fund supports teaching and research on China and promotes Harvard’s presence in China through its office in Shanghai, faculty grants, and student opportunities. Funded grants have explored issues ranging from crisis management, childbearing, villages in development, China’s health system reforms and economy, to improving seismic hazard assessment, addressing stigma, landscape and ecological urbanism, low-cost water purification systems, suicide surveillance systems, and rural health system reforms.
