Regional Centers

The interfaculty centers and institutes highlighted below explore the unique interdisciplinary challenges faced by individual countries or specific geographic regions by examining their distinct historical, cultural, political, and environmental contexts. They also coordinate the diverse academic programs across the University focused on those regions with the goal of promoting public awareness, scholarly understanding, and teaching and learning, both within the Harvard community and beyond. Several of these centers offer events and workshops with a regional focus, as well as internships and study abroad programs, fellowships opportunities, travel grants, resource libraries, and in-country offices.
